Sheer 7

Sheer 7

I have a series of Climbs and Expeditions I will be going on over the next 12 months. All these climbs are for myself and not Guided trips. To enjoy poushing my physical and mental boundaries is waht I enjoy most along with exploring new and undeveloped places.

Gola du Goroppu

Big wall free Climbing – Sardinia

In the mid 90s myself and a group of British based climbers climbed a new line on the impressive East Wall of the Gola du Gurropu, in the Supra Monte region of Sardina. This 450m climb was bolted ground up. Due to weather and conditions we never managed to free the whole climb. I am heading back with a friend Bruce Marsh to rebolt the climb and free all the pitches. Most pitches i the high 7s and up to a grade of 8a+.

Kichatna Spires

Kichatna – Alaska
It will be my 10th Expeditiion into the remote Alaskain Range. I am heading there with Bob Brewer of K7 fame and James Kauntz. We hope to try a new line on a 1000m wall which will predominatly free climbing. Long cracks up blank walls walls either side.

Neom Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia
Imagine Wadi Rum but unclimbed and mostly unexplored by climbers. Neom is a vast area to explore. With a some friends we aim to trad climb many classic cracks in the vast area.

Ladak Ice

Ladak Ice Trip
I am heading there in January to explore a valley close to Leh. The valley is full potentially massive unclimbed ice. Some routes like this has been climbed already. An ice climbers dream.

Taghia Morocco

Taghia
I will be returning to this magical hidden gem. Taghia nestled in a remote Atlas valley holds some of the finest multipitch sports routes the world. in 2019 I was part of a team to finish the epic 25 pitch 850m high wall of No Rest for the Wicked. A fully bolted climb of high quality most 7s grade climbing all the way. With james Kasuntz in October with a few other strong British Climbers we aim to put up another Big Wall sports climb. 600m high.

Agrinto Massif Madagascar

Madagascar
n the 90s I was on the first British Expedition to the Agrinto Massif in Madagascar. This newly developing area has walls of 800m of fantastic rock quality. We climbed a classic line Àlways the Sun`a 500m sports wall ground up. With pitches up to 7c+-8a. We aim to return with a group in September 2022 to create another free climb.

Pedra Biana

Brazil Big Walls
in 2019 I completed a first ascent of this unclimbed face Big Wall climb on Pedra Biana. It was 850m high and 23 pitches long. All ground up bolted. An incredible line up runnels in the granite created by rain water. Truely unique climbing. I aim to return with a team to explore an other area around Pedra Riscarda, the Biggest Monalith in South America. A Big Wall free climb using portaledges. 2022-23 Winter date to be finalised as soon as Brazil Covid restriction reduces.
