Technical alpine Climbs
Climbs which include technical graded rock climbing and ice climbing normally Alpine grade AD and above. These climbs tend to go to more difficult summits, a longer outings and have a more serious nature. Certainly to clients who have had some previous experience in the alps or have UK rock climbing or winter climbing previous. The climbs are split by ratio to illustrate the seriousness andexperience required. If you have no rock climbing experience its good to do some priorto a technical alpine climbing holiday. Training days can be organisedin the Uk prior to an Alpine holiday. North Wales is generally Twid’s Uk base for rock climbing, scrambling and Alpine Prep courses.
Technical routes 1 to 1 ratio. Eg Eiger, Matterhorn, Badile, North Faces. Climbing many of the Alps most define summits involve rock and ice climbing skills. The challenges are great but the rewards are doubled to busy peaks. These climbs could be longer rock climbs eg South Ridge of Salbit, Chamonix Rock routes or Icy NorthFaces eg NorthFace of Lenzspitze, Mont Blanc du Tacul North Face routes or complex Ridge climbs like the Hornli ridge on the Matterhorn of Mitteleige on the Eiger.
